Hello! Xin chào! 你好!
I am Duy from Vietnam.
I’m doing a PhD programme in Linguistics at KU Leuven (Belgium) under the supervision of Prof. Elke Peters.
I graduated from Lancaster University (England) with an MA degree (with Distinction) in Applied Linguistics and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) in 2017. Since then, I have developed my interest in research in general and vocabulary research in particular. My MA dissertation was supervised by Dr. Marije Michel who has recently moved to work at University of Groningen (Netherlands).
I have also been working as a Lecturer in English at Vietnam National University – University of Languages and International Studies, Hanoi (Vietnam) since I completed a BA degree (Honours with Distinction) in English there in 2012.
I am really into languages and writing. I used to get published (short poems and stories in Vietnamese) in newspapers and magazines when I was at secondary school. I still get back into my hobby of writing when I have free time, though, and I hope to see more of my publications in the future.
